Roles:

DC Site Services has been contracted to provide the following services. Please click the title for the full job description of each role.

Live in Vehicle Marshall

·       Ensure the smooth movement of traffic through the site or car park

·       Ensure traffic is moving but at the correct speed limit

·       Park cars quickly and efficiently

·       Check vehicle passes where appropriate

·       Escort vehicles through crowded areas

·       Be vigilant of possible hazards or issues and report to your supervisor

Event Steward

·       Assist the public where necessary

·       Be the ‘face’ of the event answering questions from the public.

·       Assist the public in emergency situations

·       Keeping a watchful eye for inappropriate/criminal activity and report accordingly.

 

Shifts Available (subject to change):

Shifts will be between 11 hours and 13 hours long. The Monday 29th June shift will be between 8 & 12 hours long All shifts will include an unpaid break.

You will need to work every day of the event as per the dates above. 

Deposit Information:

The deposit is all about trust! When you turn up to work remember we have never met you and are about to put a lot of trust in your work.

The deposit system discourages people from signing up to work then either not turning up or getting their wristband and disappearing to enjoy the festival. This is not fair on us or the other staff working.

When deposits are withheld these are not kept by DC Site Services but by the event organiser in order to pay for the ticket.

If you complete all your shifts and adhere to the T&Cs and Code of Conduct, then the deposit is refunded into the account listed on your DCSS PAAM profile. Partial withholds are also used to cover costs for equipment if you were to lose or damage it.

The deposit for Glastonbury Festival 2020 will be £320.

Please not that paying a deposit will not guarantee you a position at the event.

Wristbands:

In-line with all the Offsite Contractors at Glastonbury Festival 2020, wristbands for access to the festival WILL NOT BE ISSUED BEFORE THURSDAY 25^th JUNE, you will need to have successfully completed 3 shifts before wristbands will be issued to staff.

 

Event Information:

Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts that takes place in Pilton, Somerset, England. In addition to contemporary music, the festival hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts.

Arrival Information:

You will need to arrive the night before your first shift for briefing and training, please check the PAAM information for exact dates and times

 

If you do not receive an email accepting you to the event, then unfortunately all shifts will have been allocated.
