Spartan Race - Aston Down

Start Date Finish Date
28th May 28th May

As part of the Gatcombe Park and Aston Farm estate, we're running the first Spartan Super of 2016. Just a month after our Sprint at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, we have another event with a royal twist. This muddy Super race will be held in the in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, at Aston Down Airfield, just six miles from Prince Charles’s family home in Tetbury and at the home of Peter and Zara Phillips and their families.

It is always a pleasure to hold Spartan events in places with such gorgeous scenery. You will come to see why the royals are so keen to live among the rolling hills of the south Cotswolds and you are sure to be especially appreciative when you are caked in mud and ready to shower.

We hope you are feeling ready to be challenged by a course which has over 20 obstacles over 13km+. It is perfect for anyone new to Spartan or a seasoned athlete looking for a new challenge with a truly muddy race. Do not let the relative flatness of Aston Down airfield (where the festival site is located) mislead you. This will be a real challenge!

Imagine yourself enjoying the customary free post-race beer in lovely Aston Down. It’s not every day you can say you’ve drank beer in such royal surroundings. You can start the 2016 season off in style, by earning your first Trifecta wedge piece at this challenging Super. The following month we have a Stadium Sprint at Old Trafford, where you can continue earning wedge pieces.
